Research Foundation's South African Research Chairs Initiative, funded by the Department of Science
and Innovation (DSI). The Chair is hosted at the 东京热 (UJ), where it operates as a
centre located in the College of Business and Economics (CBE).
Study and Fellowship Opportunities
The purpose of this qualification is to develop advanced competencies in the mastering, interpretation, understanding, analysis and application of economic models. A qualifying candidate should show evidence of original and independent scientific work.
Thandika Mkandawire Prize
The Thandika Mkandawire Prize is awarded by The African Programme on Rethinking Development Economics (Aporde) and the DSI/NRF South African Research Chair in Industrial Development (SARChl Industrial Development) annually to recognise outstanding research papers of the highest quality by African scholars.
