MIRS Postgraduate Application Process

BRIDGING COURSE IN RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

As you would be aware, changes in the National NQF structure in Higher Education have resulted in all B.Tech qualifications being replaced by higher NQF qualifications in the form of 4-year bachelor鈥檚 degrees. Therefore, candidates with B.Tech qualifications do not have sufficient credits to articulate into a Master’s degree program. To address this issue, all such candidates must enroll in a 6-month bridging course in research methodology. The intake for the course is in June each year, and applications close on 15 May. The course is only usable for progression to the MIRS Master鈥檚 degree program 东京热 and is not transferable to听any other institution.

Only applicants for the bridging course听must contact the MIRS department. Note: All other postgraduate applicants must apply online and should not submit any documents to the department.

Bridging course applicants must submit the following via email to shantell@uj.ac.za:

  • Student Number
  • Certified ID Copy
  • Certified Qualifications
  • Certified Academic Transcripts
  • Research Topic Outline using the Summary-of-Research-Focus Document.
  • Documents should be certified within three months of submission.
