Work and Livelihoods (Economic Inclusion)
This theme explores how individuals and communities access 鈥 or are excluded from 鈥 economic opportunities, and how more inclusive and sustainable livelihood pathways can be created.
We analyse the structural drivers of poverty, unemployment, and inequality, and evaluate policies and programmes aimed at improving economic participation. Our work also considers how changing labour markets affect different groups, particularly those in vulnerable or informal employment.
Key areas of work include:
- Employment, unemployment, and the informal economy
- Youth employment and skills development
- Social protection and livelihood integration
- Gender and care in relation to work
