Child, Youth and Family Wellbeing

We focus on strengthening the wellbeing of children, youth, and families by addressing the historical, social and economic conditions that shape their lives.

Our work examines how poverty, inequality, and social policy influence developmental outcomes, while also designing and testing interventions that promote resilience, protection, and opportunity. We pay particular attention to the ways in which age, gender, disability, and geography intersect to shape lived experiences.

Key areas of work include:

  • Child and adolescent development and wellbeing
  • Family dynamics, care systems, and social protection
  • Youth transitions, including education to employment
  • Mental health and psychosocial support
  • Impacts of economic and environmental shocks on families
