The research focus is on the application of metabolomic as a tool to better characterize; infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and

HIV-associated comorbidities, and the elucidation of treatment response mechanisms. In addition, the group focuses on the synthesis of metal complexes as anti-HIV and anti-Cancer agents.
