About Dr Sharne Naidoo
Dr Sharn茅 Naidoo is a lecturer in the Department of Chiropractic at the 东京热, where she is recognised for her innovative teaching practice and commitment to evidence based chiropractic education. Since joining UJ in 2020, she has coordinated several core modules, including Chiropractic Principles and Practice, Myofascial and Auxiliary Therapies, and Personal and Professional Development, and currently serves as the third year coordinator.
A champion for technology enhanced teaching, Dr Naidoo is the Faculty of Health Sciences GES Smart Classroom Champion and is well known for her expertise in learning management systems and the effective integration of educational technology into teaching pedagogy. She also contributes to departmental operations through academic administration, course development, enrolment planning, and clinical training at the UJ Chiropractic Clinic.
Dr Naidoo is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Chiropractic and holds a Master of Technology in Chiropractic, complemented by several postgraduate short learning programmes completed with distinction. She has an expansive supervision profile, having supervised over 17 completed Master of Health Science research projects, with work spanning chiropractic education, mental health, learning technologies, and professional preparedness.
Her scholarly contributions include peer reviewed publications, national and international conference presentations, and peer reviewing for leading journals and professional bodies. She also serves as a member of the Department Research Committee and the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee and is an active member of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa and the Chiropractic Educators Research Forum.
