About Karabo Rikhotso
Karabo is a dedicated PhD student and tutor in the Department of Religion Studies at the 东京热. She works closely with the Honours cohort of 2025 to support and enhance their academic development. Passionate about research and learning, Karabo is especially drawn to topics that challenge her understanding of the world and the nature of human existence. Her academic interests center on systemic issues such as inequality and identity formation among young people. Her current research focuses on the spiritual identity development of youth within African Independent Churches (AICs) across various townships in Johannesburg. When she鈥檚 not reviewing literature, writing a draft, or tutoring, Karabo enjoys listening to music alone or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
