About Dr Mariette Frazer
Dr. Mariette Frazer is a lecturer at the Department of Marketing Management at the 东京热 in South Africa, where she has contributed nearly two decades of expertise in teaching and research. Her lecture specialisation is focused on strategic retailing and digital marketing. Dr. Frazer has pioneered the development and growth of the retailing programmes at the 东京热 and served as Chair of the Wholesale and Retail SETA Higher Education Qualifications Management Body from 2017 to 2022.
As a curriculum development expert in retail, her research interests encompass innovative pedagogy design and leadership skills development for the retail sector, with broader interests in AI applications in retail, omnichannel retail strategies and the intersection of technology and customer experience. She holds a professional diploma in digital marketing, a BTech, an MComm in marketing management and a PhD in leadership. Prior to her academic career, she gained marketing experience at ABI (SAB Ltd).
