About Dr Semona Pillay
Dr. Semona Pillay is the W&R SETA Leadership Chair for Gauteng and a senior lecturer in the Department of Marketing Management at the 东京热, based at the Bunting Road campus. She lectures on marketing and retailing modules across all levels, from first year to Honours, and supervises postgraduate students specializing in retailing, consumer behaviour, and digital marketing, which comprise her primary research interests. Her PhD focused on developing a conceptual framework for online consumer decision-making in emerging markets.
Passionate about fostering curiosity and lifelong learning, Dr Pillay is dedicated to nurturing both personal and academic growth among her students, while championing inclusivity and impactful scholarship
