About Prof Lauren Lindstrom
Dr. Lauren Lindstrom is a Professor in the School of Education at the University of California Davis and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the 东京热.
Throughout her career, Prof Lindstrom has focused on improving educational, employment and social outcomes for young adults with disabilities and other learning differences. Her research examines the interplay of individual factors such as gender, socioeconomic status, disability and family expectations, with system level factors such as school services, educational policies, and barriers in the workplace. Prof Lindstrom has developed school and community based programs and disseminated her research through peer reviewed publications, book chapters and conference presentations. Her work promoting employment and access for individuals with disabilities has been recognized nationally and internationally. In 2020,听 she received the 鈥淒istinguished Researcher Award鈥� from the American Educational Research Association, Special and Inclusive Education interest group.听 This award recognizes an individual who has made significant and sustained contributions to research, policy, and practice in the field of special education.
