About Rita Chen
Rita is the founder of Agripower, a black women owned South African firm that offers reliable and sustainable alternative power solutions. Agripower acts as a 鈥渙ne -stop shop鈥� for streamlining of
energy projects in the development, design, procurement, construction and financing of renewable energy projects in Africa.Their clients include MTN, Discovery Insurance, Huawei, Bidvest
etc.
Rita has over 15 years鈥� experience in the renewable energy sector and Chinese-African economic and trade exchanges. She previously worked at Power Construction Corporation of China (New Energy
Division) as Legal Director and Hexing Group as Group Legal Counsel. Rita also worked as Senior Transaction Specialist at ENSafrica (Africas largest law firm) and Norton Rose Fulbright Law
Firm and advised in transactions worth over $2 billion.
She is also an advisor to the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, Advisor Circle of Global Business Women President of China,Gauteng Taiwan Chamber of Commerce Secretary General, Africa
