Activities related to rankings submissions and analysis involve the systematic collection, collation, and preparation of institutional data in line with the requirements of various global rankings agencies. This includes cleaning and organising data for accuracy and consistency, as well as submitting detailed information, such as policies; to platforms like the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings across 17 categories. Submissions are also made to agencies such as QS and Times Higher Education for rankings including the World University Rankings and Employability Rankings. In addition, lists of academics and employers are regularly updated to support survey processes conducted by these agencies.
Beyond submissions, this function includes the evaluation and interpretation of rankings outcomes. Results are analysed and translated into reports for executive leadership and media relations, alongside the development of presentations that explain rankings methodologies and performance. The process also involves critically assessing different rankings systems and recommending strategic actions across various institutional areas to enhance performance and optimise future outcomes.
