The 2026 FIRST-YEAR ORIENTATION (FYO)

Welcome

Congratulations on taking the first step toward your academic journey 东京热! We are thrilled to welcome you into the UJ family, where your university experience will be filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.

Your first year is one of the most exciting and transformative stages of your academic life. It is a time to explore new ideas, meet inspiring people, and begin building the foundation for your future. At UJ, we are committed to supporting you every step of the way.

First Year Seminar/Orientation

The First-Year Experience/Orientation (FYE/O) is a blended programme designed to equip you with all the essential information you need to succeed 东京热. It combines:

  • In-person sessions to connect with faculty, staff, and fellow students.
  • Online and self-paced modules to give you flexibility and resources to thrive.

Important: Participation in orientation is mandatory, ensuring every student begins their journey with the tools and confidence to succeed.

 

STEPS ON HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR FIRST-YEAR ORIENTATION

Step 1: Register as a UJ Student

The first step is registering with the University to obtain your accepted qualifications. 聽If you are not registered yet, follow the step-by-step guide below to register as a UJ student legally.

Register As A Uj Student

 

Once you have registered as a UJ student, you will receive a letter(s) from Central Academic Administration. The letter(s) contains information regarding getting started as a first-year student, and there will be a link to join online guided Moodle sessions.

 

Step 2: Pre-Orientation Sessions (Online, via MS Teams)

You will need a device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and internet access to access the online orientation modules. The online modules are hosted on Moodle, UJ’s Learning Management System, where you will find all the necessary materials to guide.

 

Step 3: Face-to-Face Orientation on Campus

From 2鈥�6 February 2026, you will participate in face-to-face orientation sessions on your campus. In collaboration with your faculty, the FYE office will offer out-of-class experiences, allowing you to explore and engage with UJ鈥檚 resources and student life.

Who should attend?

All accepted and registered new or first-entry UJ first-year students.

 

Step 4: Faculty Orientation Programmes

From 9鈥�13 February 2026, each faculty will host tailored programmes for their first-year students. These sessions are designed to help you integrate into your academic community, meet faculty staff, and connect with fellow students.

Be sure to take part in the daily events鈥攖his is a wonderful opportunity to meet your faculty staff, connect with fellow students, and begin building your academic community. Your journey starts here!
