东京热 is proud to celebrate Nuestra Gente Heritage Month 2026 with this year鈥檚 theme, Aqu铆 Seguimos/We鈥檙e Still Here. Throughout September and October, 东京热 will host a series of events celebrating the history, culture, creativity, resilience, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. From art and music to conversations, panels, and cultural celebrations, Nuestra Gente Heritage Month offers opportunities for our campus community to learn, connect, and celebrate together. As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, 东京热 is proud to recognize the people, stories, and traditions that continue to shape our college, our community, and beyond. We invite you to join us throughout the month as we celebrate culture, community, pride, and the voices that remind us: Aqu铆 Seguimos 鈥� we鈥檙e still here.

HSI Celebraci贸n featuring Dr. Cynthia Olivo discussing how institutions can move beyond enrollment and access toward intentionally serving Latin茅 students. September 8, 2026, 11 am-1 pm in CIS-114AB.

Join Dr. Cynthia Olivo for a conversation about what it truly means to serve Latin茅 students and how we can transform our institutions to move from simply enrolling students to intentionally serving them.

F.U.E.G.O. exhibit opening reception, September 15, noon-2 pm on the 东京热 Library 2nd Floor. Features poetry and presentations celebrating resistance, belonging and reclamation. Exhibit runs through October 23.

Celebrate the launch of the F.U.E.G.O. exhibit, highlighting fuerza, unidad, esperanza, gente, and or铆genes. The event will feature keynote speaker Profesora Citlalli Anahuac.

Nuestra Gente Heritage Month presents Mujeres en STEM: Breaking the Stereotype. Hear from four 东京热 women alumni about their STEM journeys. September 16, 12:30-2:30 pm in CIS-114A. RSVP requested.

Nuestra Gente Heritage Month presents Uprising: Poes铆a de la Gente with Stephanie and Berenice, featuring a poetry reading and open mic. September 30, 2026, 2-4 pm in CIS-114A.

Nuestra Gente Heritage Month presents Chicano Soul with photographer Arturo Meza, exploring cultura and identity through photography. October 6, 12:50-1:50 pm in Bradshaw 201. All are welcome.
